Ascend's Executive Director visited our group of evacuees in Chile in October 2022, marking just over a year since their arrival in September 2021. Ascend's partners in Chile have worked to support the group through some innovative private sector donations and jobs programs, including with Papa John's Chile.
Pontificia Universidad Catolica hosted a seminar with key stakeholders such as UNHCR to discuss Chile's approach to refugee and migrant policy, including remarks from Ascend alum Zahra Karimi, ED Marina LeGree, and Chilean key partners Sebastian Villarreal and Susana Casas de Miguel.
