Ascending Afghanistan - Rising Women is a documentary produced by Vice Impact about the work of Ascend, an American non-profit delivering groundbreaking leadership development programs for young women in Afghanistan, utilizing climbing as a foundation. Follow the thirteen girls of Afghanistan’s first female mountaineering team as they attempt the first ascent, successfully summit their peak, and take a huge step towards conquering complex social boundaries of being a young woman in Kabul.
