About The Event
Join us for an evening of delicious Afghan food and the story of a groundbreaking team of women mountaineers!
Last summer, one of Ascend's team members, Hanifa Yousoufi, made history by being the first Afghan woman to summit the highest mountain in Afghanistan! Mt Noshaq is at a whopping 24,580 and Hanifa summited it in August 2018. Hear her and others' inspiring stories of breaking barriers and plowing through obstacles to achieve this amazing feat in a war torn country.
